Our dog grooming packages include bathing with dog-safe shampoo, blow-drying, brushing, ear cleaning, nail trimming, and coat styling. Add-on services are also available. Dogs staying overnight may conveniently combine grooming with our Dog Hotel service.

2. How much does grooming cost at Starlux?

Basic grooming starts around RM 35 for small breeds. Full grooming packages range from RM 88 to RM 352, with add-ons priced separately.

3. What vaccinations or health requirements must my dog meet before grooming?

Vaccinations are recommended to ensure a safe grooming environment. Dogs with sensitive skin or coat issues may also benefit from routine care similar to our Cat Grooming standards, which prioritise gentle handling and hygiene.

4. How long will my dog’s grooming appointment take?

Typically, grooming takes 1–3 hours, depending on size, coat condition, and service level.

5. How often should my dog be groomed?

Short-haired dogs: every month. Long or double-coated breeds: every month. Brushing at home is also encouraged to prevent matting. Bathing every week

6. Can I stay with my dog during grooming?

For safety and workflow, owners typically wait in the reception area, but let us know if your dog needs comfort, and we may be able to accommodate a supervised visit.

7. What if my dog is nervous, aggressive, or has special needs?

No problem. Our groomers use gentle, stress-reducing techniques like slow desensitization and calming breaks. Please inform us in advance for personalized care.

8. How do you handle matting, tangles, or heavy shedding?

We use specialized tools and firm technique to detangle or de-mat gently. If needed, we may shave severely matted areas. De-shedding services are available to manage shedding.

9. What breeds or coat types require special grooming attention?

Curly or wire-coated dogs require more trimming or stripping; long silky coats need daily brushing; double-coated breeds shed heavily and benefit from de-shedding grooming sessions. Dogs with skin sensitivities, allergies, or medical conditions require gentle products

10. Do you offer add-on services like nail trims, ear cleaning, or spa treatments?

Yes, we offer add-ons such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, de-shedding, and spa treatments. For owners managing tight schedules, our Pet Taxi service can help with transport to and from grooming sessions.
